COVID-19 ECONOMIC INJURY DISASTER LOAN APPLICATION

STREAMLINED PROCESS REQUIREMENTS

SBA is collecting the requested information in order to make a loan under SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program to the qualified entities listed in this application that are impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The information will be used in determining whether the applicant is eligible for an economic injury loan. If you do not submit all the information requested, your loan cannot be fully processed.

The Applicant understands that the SBA is relying upon the self-certifications contained in this application to verify that the Applicant is an eligible entity, and that the Applicant is providing this self-certification under penalty of perjury pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1746 for verification purposes.

The estimated time for completing this entire application is two hours and ten minutes, although you may not need to complete all parts. You are not required to respond to this collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB approval number.

CALDAS NOVAS

Caldas Novas is a city located in Goiás state center of Brazil.

Caldas Novas with about 76,616 inhabitants. This city is known for having the largest hydrothermal resort in the world, having on their territory, waters that spring from the ground with temperatures in the range of 33 °C to 60 °C.
Every year more than one million tourists visit this city, most of them elderly people and children attracted by the fascinating hot water.

History

The city of new grout was discovered by Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva , in 1722, at that time, still belonging to the Region of Santa Cruz in the hinterland of Goiás. These lands soon caught the attention of the public due to their therapeutic property coming from the warm waters. Because of this, Martinho Coelho Siqueira  decided to explore the area and eventually discovered other new sources.
In 1818, the city was visited by Auguste de Saint Hilaire accompanied by the then governor of Goiás who was cured of paralysis and rheumatism suffering, making the city even more famous.
In 1880, Captain Candido Gonzaga de Menezes had disaggregate Caldas Novas, the city of Santa Cruz, so it became part of the municipality of Vila Bela Morrinhos.

Sightseeing

The most visited places are the hotels, spas and waterfalls, all therapeutic due to high temperatures. Many visitors seeking cures for various diseases and problems in these so-called sacred waters come here. Tourists should not pass through the city without experiencing the power of these waters.

Main Landmarks

The main landmarks of the city of Caldas Novas are:

Acqua Park

A hot water park that is part of the main attractions of the city and offers visitors wave pools, water slides, saunas, showers, Jacuzzi, hot tubs, caves, arcades and also many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and much more.
Big House
Built in 1908, Big House is a landmark in the history of the 20th century architecture of Goiás. It has a collection consisting of hundreds of typical objects found in the homes of yesteryear such as machine loom, iron with coal and also houses a huge variety of local handicrafts, such as quilts, rugs, ceramics and others.

Fair Moonlight

The Fair Moonlight is a typical city attraction, performed in an area of more than 1,000 m² and is held every Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 pm. The fair is for the natives who wish to present their crafts to the tourists who revel in the wonderful foods sold at the Fair Moonlight.

Mother Church

The church, built in 1850, is considered a tourist city property, being the oldest building of Caldas Novas. The last renovation was in 1999. Known as Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, it still holds, today, the walls and columns of the original wood.

Japanese Garden

The Japanese Garden was built by the Japanese Toshiyuki Murai , now living in Brazil. The garden was inspired by the Buddhist gardens and everything in it has some sort of meaning, all guarded and protected by the dragons. In the midst of the natures, the garden invites guests to take 10 minutes to devote themselves to meditation.

Corumbá Lake

The Corumbá Lake , located about 9 km from the city center is about 100 km long and 65 km² in area. The lake offers many attractions for tourists such as water sports, fishing and amazing boat trips.

Hot pond

The Hot Pond has several hot sources with water temperature up to 60 ° C being the hottest found in the city. Due to this fact,the natives call this pond an egg burning source because the temperature is so high that one has the ability to boil an egg in this water.

Mountain Park of Caldas

The Mountain Park of Caldas, or PESCAN, as it is also known was created in 1970 with the intention of protecting the flora and fauna threatened with extinction. The park has about 12,315,358 hectares and is administered by the Goiana Environmental Agency. Additionally, it has visiting hours severely controlled to continue preserving the original atmosphere of the park.

The Cachaçaria

The valley of the water's hot Cachaçaria  produces typical Brazilian drinks - the Caipirinha (a mixture of lemon, ice, cachaça and sugar), and other various distilled spirits. The secret of the Cachaçaria is the natural aging liquid which is found in hardwood barrels.

Mirante Green Mountain

Mirante Mountain Green is located beside the Green Mountain of Chocolates and Gifts, a place highly sought by tourists who want to experience a little bit of the city, which is situated beside the famous Gramado's chocolate next door. The observatory is also open to the public and provides a broad view of the city,something which is great for photos.

The Museum of Soy

The Museum of Soy was created with the goal of telling the story of soy, such as the production procedures, and teaching visitors of the importance of this food. The museum was opened in 2007 and operates from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 18:00 pm.

Dining

With several fine restaurants and traditional houses that offer homemade food, diversity is huge. Famous for mixing fish with birds, the culinary of Caldas Novas is a very attractive piece.

Being a very busy tourist town, Caldas Novas is well prepared to welcome all the visitors. There is a supply of motorcycle taxi services, taxi and mini bus for larger families. In addition, there are several excursions offered by all cities in Brazil bound for Caldas Novas.

Safety

Caldas Novas is considered a safe city with municipal police, military police, and sometimes the cavalry are responsible for maintaining order in the city. However, there are basic precautions that everyone should take, for example, do not leave valuable objects in sight and be aware of your surroundings.

This is an event held every year in the city of Caldas Novas, and is the largest country music festival in Brazil, reaching an audience of about 150,000 people per day of celebration.
The festival consists of multiples performances per day from 15 famous singers like Gusttavo Lima, Luan Santana, and Chitãozinho Xororó, among others.
Drinks, drugs and nice girls can be found in abundance at this event. It's a party which has no age restriction, whether you're 18 or 100 years old, you can certainly participate. One of the distinctive features of this festival is that those who do not have funds for entry can park their cars outside the venue and simply enjoy the music from there. Anyway, what really matters is have fun!
